| So I decided to make Jam with all those lovely Saskatoon Berries. Here they are boiling in the pot. |

I found the recipe here.
Here is the cooking version that I used:
Saskatoon Jam Recipe Yield: About 3 cups (750 mL)
Ingredients:
- 4 cups (1L) Saskatoons
- 3 cups (750 mL) sugar
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) water
- Juice and grated peel of 1/2 lemon
Instructions:
- Crush Saskatoons in a Dutch oven; heat gently until juice starts to flow
- Add sugar and water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly
- Add lemon juice and peel; bring to a boil and cook, stirring frequently until thick, about 15 minutes
- Pour into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch (6 mm) head space; wipe jar rims thoroughly
- Seal and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes
The jam ended up being delicious!
